Kathy Wang
Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Wang obtained her Master's from the University of Cambridge. With 17 years of industry-leading expertise, Kathy offers a history of profitable, market-centric product direction and revenue strategy credited with taking several companies to a fast-growing international brand. She is known for a deliberate and focused approach to limiting risk throughout startup and growth. In addition to holding central roles in national growth strategy, fundraising, and business management.
In her previous position as Executive Vice President of Business development and international branding for ACTIS Capital Group, Kathy played an instrumental role in go-to-market strategy. Leading Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Service staff to support several product lines.
Desmond Rampersaud
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Rampersaud had been Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development, where he helped to lead the company’s initiatives related to investment planning, business intelligence along with the associated sales processes and strategy. He was also responsible for providing oversight and strategic direction for the firm’s internal sales team. A 20-year veteran of the real estate industry, Mr. Rampersaud began his career with Fujitsu S.A. in 2007. In 2010 he opened his first Century 21 office and went on to acquire five additional locations before joining us in 2014. Mr. Rampersaud graduated with a master’s degree from The University of the West Indies and is an active supporter of the Economic Commission for Latin America.
Stephanie Chan
Managing Partner of Crown REIT an affiliate of Emerald Capital Holdings
A graduate of Stanford University. Mrs. Chan Simultaneously managed several complex multi-platform branding, marketing, and production projects from conception to completion by meeting and exceeding timeline milestones, goals, and budgets. She effectively and strategically anticipated, identified, and forecasted the projected development needs for a wide range of product expansions ranging from $300MM to $400MM with a cumulative annual value of $575MM plus.
Don Schmidt
Executive Vice President of Merger & Acquisition
Mr. Schmidt is an experienced entrepreneur with over 23 years of experience originating and managing Merger & Acquisition transactions. Including retail platforms, finance companies, and real estate firms, as well as government contractors in South America. He has successfully facilitated 13 high-profile M&A transactions, performed hundreds of business valuations, and currently leading Emerald’s strategic M&A initiatives to help manage the expansion of the company operations, geographical presence, and service offerings. A graduate from Penn State Don is recognized as a game-changing executive with proven success creating new markets, driving sales execution, growing platform businesses, and leading high-performing teams to unprecedented success.
Isabella Santiago
Executive Vice President of Commerical Real Estate
Prior to joining Emerald in 2015, Mrs. Santiago spent five years at HSBC, where she was a Managing Director in the Real Estate Principal Investment division, investing both in private equity and debt. While at HSBC, she oversaw the firm’s investment strategy in the Midwest as well as the hospitality sector. Mrs. Santiago began her 9-year real estate investing career as a Real Estate Banking Analyst at Vertex Real Estate Investors in Mexico. After obtaining her Master's in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
Aabir Mohan
Senior Vice President of Business Development
As a seasoned professional in the commercial real estate sector, Mr. Mohan brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role of Senior Vice President of Business Development. With a proven track record of successful projects and strategic leadership at Emerald Capital, Aabir is dedicated to driving innovation and growth in the real estate development sector. He holds an Executive MBA from the University of Michigan and continuously seeks professional development opportunities to stay abreast of industry trends. Aabir has over 16 years of experience in real estate development, with a focus on the Caribbean market. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed and executed numerous high-profile projects, demonstrating a strong understanding of market trends. Specializing in key hotel development including the Amanera, Marriott International Inc., and the Ritz Carlton.
Aabir joined Emerald in 2021 as Vice President of business development and was instrumental in spearheading a $358MM project that have led to improved inventory management and reducing building times. His ability to navigate complex logistical challenges and deliver results under pressure has earned him recognition as a leader in the field. Beyond his professional achievements, Aabir embrace giving back to the communities through Emerald’s involvement in philanthropic initiatives in the Caribbean. His dedication to sustainable development practices and social responsibility underscores his commitment to creating positive impacts through real estate projects. Under Emerald executive leadership he has overseen the completion of 9 Elementary schools in Suriname, 13 in Peru and 4 in French Guiana. With a passion for excellence, Aabir is poised to continue making significant contributions to Emerald’s real estate division.
Paul Muehlbauer
Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Mr. Muehlbauer joined Emerald Capital in 2017 and quickly move up the ranks. He assists in leading the platform’s operating executives and functional experts to integrate operating expertise within the Firm’s portfolio companies and investment strategies. He is also the lead analyst for new investment venture. In his role, Mr. Muehlbauer is responsible for resource deployment, growth and value creation across the businesses. He brings 12 years of general management and finance experience from the private sector across a variety of firms. In addition to playing a vital role in the merger of the Pinnacle Group, an affiliate of Emerald Capital Holdings Inc. Mr. Muehlbauer graduated from Earlham College and received his Master's in Corporate Finance from Purdue University
Shelly Ingram
Vice President of Human Resource
Ms. Ingram completed her graduate degree in Corporate Law from Duke University. She has been instrumental in helping us expand Emerald in North America, South America, and Mexico. She also, Introduced the company’s first formal performance review program, creating a flexible and well-received tool that was later adopted company wide. In addition to structuring and implementing programs and policies in the areas of training, compensation, benefits packages, incentives, and new-employee orientation.
